Rwanda: Government Recruits Over 17,000 New Teachers

A total 10,864 new teachers for both primary and secondary schools who were hired this week have been offered a one-year contract. They all have no prior training in education although they are qualified in fields related to their respective subjects.

This is according to the Minister of State in charge of Primary and Secondary Education, Gaspard Twagirayezu.
